GENERAL
Many moons ago, the once lone dwelling foxes found themselves outnumbered.
With predators at an all time high, a band began to form in order to protect one another. As days
flew by and nothing seemed to go in their favor, the group picked up and left. Hoping to find
a sanctuary from their once safe lands. Finding solace in something they knew all too well,
Burrowclan was born after stumbling upon a vast network of tunnels. With a female
fox ready to have kits, the group took this as an omen, and turned it into their prosperous home.
It wasn't long though before inner group challenges came up. Differences were found and
met with opposing viewpoints. No longer was this a harmonious family, but one that needed
a true leader. Stepping up to the plate was the old fox who had led them here : Brawl. With scars
tainting his red pelt, he was known for having strong morals and a strict way of life. His rules
were set and followed by most, save for a few who chose to disagree. With this in mind, another leader was
asked to balance out the ways of the old fox. Her name was Melody, and she proved to be kind
and nurturing. Yet even with these changes, many felt as if they could no longer stay under
what had been their first refuge...and soon a small group left.
Lakeclan was formed not far from their beginnings. Alongside a small lake, nestled against a stream and
with a forest to provide prey, these foxes began to feel as if the right decision had been made. Led by a
brother and sister pair, Beech and Flower did the best they could. What they lacked in wisdom and experience
they made up for in generosity and kindness. Lakeclan flourished until the clans were met one day with something
neither of them could have expected.
Not too far off to their north had been an exotic animal breeder, once specializing in foxes. Fire tore through
their facilities, leaving animals dead and a few wandering. The wandering foxes were soon to find the clans
and while Burrowclan was hesitant to accept them, Lakeclan needed the members and let them in with
open paws. These outsiders provided diversity to their group. No longer was everybody just a plain old red fox,
but breeds began to mix and colors began to shift. However things could not stay as easy as they
had been. These outsiders were not used to hunting for their food, and many felt as if it
"wasn't fair." Lakeclan did what they could, but in the end...it just wasn't enough. Not willing
to sacrifice their own clanmates hunger, paws were put down and in the end, not all were happy. A
group formed to leave.
Enter Fieldclan. True to their nature of wanting an easier way of life, this group of foxes positioned
themselves against a farm. With an easy way into chicken coops for not only eggs, but chickens as well...
these foxes now had some sort of easy manner of prey. But with this 'food hack', came turmoil. Soon
they were losing their own to traps and the farmer. What had been a great idea, turned to something
they now needed to rethink. Learning to hunt now became something more important, and they began
to rely on those who had come from Lakeclan with them. As time passed they grew to hunt more often...
though sometimes those who are most sly can fish an egg or chicken away from the farm.
Moons have gone by with every clan getting alone well in their own right. Everyone has began to
settle in and make peace with their surroundings. Leaders have come and gone and all seems
right in the world. But it can't stay this way forever...what fun would that be?
BURROWCLAN
The eldest of the three clans, Burrowclan seems to hold the highest values and morals. They train hard,
hunt harder, and fight the hardest. They hold their borders high and true, and perhaps have the smallest
grudge against Lakeclan when it comes to the elders in the clan. These foxes will mostly be of the red or gray fox variety
as they didn't allow many outsiders in when the exotic animal facility burned down. While Burrowclan doesn't
sport the flashiest of foxes, they do have an odd color here and there and within time it'll open them
up to a broader range.
LAKECLAN
Lakeclan foxes are perhaps the entirely neutral field of this all. They've made their peace with
how they left Burrowclan. Leaders have passed and they see it as the past. If anything they
are somewhat uneasy with their Fieldclan border because of knowing how lazy the other clan can be.
These foxes come in all shapes and sizes though many of them still trace far back into red fox roots.
FIELDCLAN
Fieldclan foxes come in many shapes and colors. These foxes tend to be somewhat of the lazy sort
since the mostly came from the old exotic animal facility. However, since their farm raiding days
are beginning to end, they've had to adapt and overcome. They are beginning to hunt and work harder
but some still prefer to lounge and sleep. They don't have a grudge with either clan and kind of just hang out.
