Feather that drifts on wind
Lakeclan ♡ Warrior ♡ 32 Moons ♡ Vixen ♡ Demi-Heterosexual
APPEARANCESummary: Grey-brown vixen with a white tail tip and brown eyes
Purchases: N/A
Strengths: Swimming, fishing, jumping, fighting
Weaknesses: Stealth, running, agility, hunting
In Depth: Feather, despite her name, is by no means a small fox. She isn’t huge, but she is larger than most, with more muscularity and a sturdier build that makes her slightly less stealthy and fast than she’d like to be, though lends her great skill in fighting, Her fur is mostly a thick, peppered grey, however, there are patches of black that mark her neck, ears, face, tail, and legs, as well as areas of light brown around her underbelly and throat. The biggest break from her coloration is her white tail tip, for even her eyes are a greyish brown hue.PERSONALITYPositive Traits: Loyal, hard-working, protective, determined, calm, confident
Negative Traits: Distant, cold, resentful, detached, impersonal, irreligious
Likes: Quiet, Swimming, fishing, working hard, cooperation, the lake
Dislikes: The stars (Due to lack of faith), outsiders, her father, physical contact (currently)
Extra: Feather has lost her faith in Starclan, and is thereby irreligious
In Depth: Feather is not a cold or harsh fox. She is loyal and well meaning when it comes to her clan, and even protective when it comes to those she cares about. However, she is somewhat distant and detached. Rather than wearing her emotions of her sleeve, she keeps them locked behind a cool and calm facade, that often seems cold, and in truth is cold when it comes to outsiders. She is a very brave fox that acts with confidence and precision, always putting feelings and personal thoughts aside in order to take the most logical and strategic course of action. Perhaps it at times makes her appear almost robotic, in the automated and seemingly emotionless ways she acts. However, she is no robot. Deep down she has fears and emotions, likes and dislikes, that she hides beneath the surface. One would think her nature deters others, and for many it doesn’t, but for some....they see it as a challenge, and one they are determined to break through. Unfortunately for them, the walls she has built up are high, and it takes a lot of effort to knock them down again. Once you have made it in, she would do anything for you, but betray her and let her close you out again...and you’re dead to her.HISTORYFeather was supposed to live an easy, happy life. Or at least, as easy a life as a wild fox could get. She was born in Lakeclan to parents who were also born and raised in the clan’s embrace. She was a happy kit with four siblings, full of life and joy and wonder. She was happy. She loved her life, and her siblings. Yet one thing always stood out...her mother was always acting strange. Sometimes Feather would catch arguments between her parents in harsh whispers, yet never head the words they said, other than a few snatches that she didn’t understand. All she knew was that her mother grew more fidgety and disappeared often, and their father grew more distant, and more angry at their mother.
The day of her apprentice ceremony, everything that was going on with her family fled her mind in her excitement. That was, until that night. Her mother gathered the siblings in the middle of the night, and snuck them out of camp. They had made it to the border when Feather’s father, along with his night patrol, caught them. He exchanged angry words with their mother, but she was clear in her resolve - something she hadn’t explained to her kits yet. She was leaving, and she was taking them with her. Still, with great reluctance from their mother, the young apprentices were given a choice. Most of them huddled toward their mother, but with some hesitancy, Feather approached her father. Her closest sibling followed suit, and together, they refused to leave. They never saw their mother after that, nor their other three siblings.
The rest of her apprenticeship was tough. Their father seemed caught between more determined to keep her and his other remaining kit closer by than ever, yet at the same time, acting cold and stern to them. They had gone from respected clanmates, to a family suspected of treachery. It was revealed that their father knew his mate planned to leave, and rumoured that he was involved in the reason why. What had her parents done that made her mother want to leave and her father so desperate to prove himself, so wary and guilty and cold? Feather never knew. However, she didn’t have time to question it. Her father pushed her and her sibling hard, too hard, insisted that they became great, that they proved themselves. Feather’s sibling couldn’t take the pressure, and was going to leave to find their mother. They begged Feather to come with her, but Feather refused, instead managing to convince her sibling to stay.
From then on, the siblings never left each other’s side. It was clear Feather’s sister had grown afraid of their possessive father that only pushed and pushed until he was only pushing them away. Feather changed too, but instead of being scared, she grew numb to it, reluctantly doing what her father asked, and living in an almost robotic state of duty that, while efficient, proved terribly lonely. By her sibling’s side, she became a warrior, Feather that drifts on wind. Clearly her leader recognised the way she had changed, too. Still, it didn’t matter any more. She was pushing herself now, too. She worked hard, hunting and fighting and even wound up training a couple of apprentices. And then came her father’s newest insistence, one he had no intention of relenting on. His biggest swipe of taking back the reputation he’d illusioned himself was still earning them questioned loyalty. Or at least, him. She was to pursue Stag, one of their more approachable leaders. If she became his mate, no one could question them again, for the highest of their clan approved of them. Feather’s father was a desperate fool, but Feather could only do as she was told.RELATIONSHIPSMother: Doe (left, status unknown)
